My Voice Count recognize that many children living in low-income areas have a least one parent either incarcerated or unemployed. Therefore, during the holiday season, My Voice Count along with community support provide Christmas gifts to more than 100 children in the Houston, Third Ward area. All of the children receiving gifts are from low-income or improvised families, where most are being raised by a single.
The children that My Voice Count service during the holiday season range from new born to 17 years of age. Some of the children are living in the foster care system due to the abuse and neglect.
My Voice Count is committed to making sure that at least 100 children each year have something to open on Christmas day. Furthermore, My Voice Count depends on community generosity to revive Christmas spirit for needy children. We welcome community partners to get involve to make sure that no child goes without during the Christmas holiday season.
